Originally an artist from Berlin, Nina Kelm is now based in Brisbane. Her work moves between large-scale pieces and small, intimate works, exploring unconventional materials and formats. Her work is defined by different ways of making rather than by settling into a single fixed style.

In July 2025, Nina exhibited at Vacant Assembly, marking her fifth exhibition overall and her first in Brisbane. Her recent practice has expanded to include handmade paper and floating frames, often using upcycled materials and locally sourced wood. While sustainability is not the sole focus of her work, it increasingly shapes her material choices and creative process.
